Morning Visit to – St Thomas’s Church

Since the last few weeks has proved quite challenging for me in terms of my physical health and mental health, I decided to start revisiting church.

I am a believer and to me keeping my faith strong is important for my mental and physical wellbeing. The only issue is that I lacked church visitation, which I am not too happy about. Mostly because I don’t like to attend on my own. Today I made an effort to go out around 10am to visit the St Thomas’s Church which is within an hour of where I live and has been on my radar for a while. I have seen many old churches which are in much better condition, this was still in good condition but inside you can tell it doesn’t have the funding that others do. I spoke to a gentleman who confirmed the funding was poor. I understand time are hard, but it is surely the Church of England that should be taking it upon itself to provide adequate funding and repairs and not the general public who can only give what they can afford most of the time.

You will notice that this is huge, like most churches, and it has an upstairs which I was not expecting. I will be returning in the near future for sure to attend a Holy Communion service. I was granted permission to take photographs.

I was respectful to the altar and not to cross the wrong boundaries, but the public can enter the choir gallery area.

The first thing I saw when I stepped into the church.

The church is large but apparently has a small congregation of people who attend regularly. I hope that more people will attend services here. It is one of a number of Church of England churches throughout Greater Manchester. I have yet to visit St. Peters church and St. Georges churches. I do intend to visit them but finding them open is very difficult considering that they are only open on Sunday for a brief time. This was not always the case.

Funding has blatantly decreased, and the public seem less interested in church and religions than ever before. The advent of modern belief systems has drawn a substantial part of the populace away from traditions like Christianity toward new age enlightenment beliefs and such. This is of course not deterring from the fact that there are around 2.83 billion Christians in the world making it the largest religion still to this day based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. A whopping 1.9 billion are Islamic and 1.25 billion are Hindu. Around 1.1 billion are non-religious. I hope that puts things in perspective – you should never feel ashamed of your faith. There will be others, so don’t be afraid to connect with them. The writer of Hebrews encourages the gathering together of friends and family as a community for support, love and wellbeing.

I was a little apprehensive about visiting as I haven’t done so in a while. I hope any future visits will provide an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals. Thank you so much for reading and I hope the pictures are enjoyable too.

Friday the 13th – Get on the level

Friday the 13th is considered unlucky by a lot of people and I don’t know why. It is a number, it is a day! If you want to live under the umbrella of fear over a day, then what other things do you believe in? Do you believe a black cat is unlucky? Come on, it is the 21st century. I suspect the same people who believe this also believe in goblins and demons.

The idea was that both the number and day carried a negative connotation. (okay). Having that fear of 13 could also stem from the fact number 12 seems to be the limit on numbers for people, as there are 12 months a year and the day is split into two 12 hour periods etc. So imagining that 13 could exist will blow peoples minds. Wait until they hear about 14. On the painting of the last supper, there are 13 people. Judas was person 13, who betrayed Jesus. Maybe there is a religious significance. I doubt it though. Jesus was going to be crucified no matter who was at the supper.

I’ll tell you the real story of the history of the Friday the 13th. It was back on the Friday 13th in 1307 that Philip IV of France arrested hundred of members of the Knights Templar and had them killed. This is the day that they were dissolved, supposedly. In reality they went underground like many other pagans. Don’t think the Knights Templar were Christians. They were disbanded and killed for worshipping evil entities. In the 21st Century, many organisations profess to be that same group, yet are pagans who worship ‘other’ Gods and beings. Let’s end on a poem, because I’ve covered a little about the history.

I see that the man with all the pennies is now buying about twenty acres of land. I also noticed he had got rid of his old cat. That is a shame, but I suspect the cat was beginning to use his audio device to listen to the old man’s neighbours. That isn’t an unfounded allegation by the way, I saw that cat out in the streets, talking spy language with other cats. Anyway, there is the possibility the cat was sent to defector prison. What say you, you beautiful human? “Meow.” Okay fair enough, ciao. Cat chowder.

Angelic Numerology

In a recent post I talked about the possibility of being able to see angelic beings. It is fascinating the idea that there are actual intelligent beings out there, from the creator, who are sent to aid and guide us. I am going to talk briefly about something called numerology, which concerns meanings in numbers.

Numerology is the pseudo-scientific belief in a divine or mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events.

Angels are supernatural beings who are the servants of God. The bible is filled with passages of how they communicated with humans. In the bible, they are not women or children as depicted in art and statues of society, rather they are given names and those names are associated with males, such as Gabriel and Uriel. Uriel was responsible for warning Noah of the coming flood.

Angels and numbers are said to tie into one another, with angelic being supposedly communicating with humans using numbers. It is a particularly special way for angels to send messages to us, because not everyone will notice, and not everyone will care what the potential significance of seeing the numbers is. Understanding the meaning of the numbers however, will allow you to communicate with your angels and guides.

Angelic numbers are the most commonly experienced signs from the angels, and most of the time people do not expect this as they are under the illusion that angels appear in more obvious ways, which is simply not correct. To see numbers repeatedly could be angels trying to alert you to their presences, or a coincidence. Faith and intuition are big factors in how you perceive the situation, and how you feel about it. Repeatedly seeing numbers can be a reminder to tune into the meditative and relaxed state to lift your vibration to connect with a higher level of guidance from your angel, who is with you.

They give guidance frequently, through other means too. Angels can channel messages directly to us, in dreams or through an insight. It is not uncommon to get flashes of inspiration or to learn something from them during meditation, any of the psychic senses allow you to perceive the messages.

But what numbers mean what? When communicated, can be easily missed and even seeing them might mean nothing if someone is not aware of the phenomenon of the meanings or value of numbers. The universe is one of numbers, of symbols, so it makes sense to communicate with them. When you are unsure what a repeating number means, or a number that it shown to you quite blatantly, you need to understand it. You could look it up on the internet, or you could try and interpret it yourself. Angel numbers are distinctly different although similar to numerology – angel numbers being a carrier of divine messages. You can read a little more here:

0 – a sign you are connected with God and that everything is about to go your way, you have chosen the right path and are heading toward becoming a better version of yourself. 1 – that you may be dealing with negativity. 2 – that you should be optimist and have faith in yourself, hold on, because things will get better.

Numbers 11, 22, 33.

11 – Continuing to see this number is an indication you are nearing a period of fulfilling your true purpose in life.

22 – A sign from the angel that you are about to turn your dreams into reality. You are about to gain divine knowledge, and an indication that you must have faith in your angels.

33 – Reminding you that divine source has blessed you with increased ability to create and manifest everything you desire into form.

To see a 22 for example would be the equivalent of 2+2=4, which in itself has multiple meanings. It also means the power of 2 is amplified (2×2). Being that you should have faith in yourself because things will get better, and you will turn your dreams into reality. A complex message, but only given meaning by humans, and actually, when you dig deeper, to get the real meaning would be to pay attention to every detail in your life.

The first step after recognising these numbers as significant or with meaning is to try and understand a bit more about the deeper meaning behind them in relation to your current situation. Remember, angels can use their voice to talk to us, and sometimes when they are present may in fact brush over us like a soft life feather which can mean they want you to know they are there with you. Opening your heart to love and forgiveness and to enable them to talk to you more clearly may just allow you to hear them. Do you feel sad or lonely when you have that feeling of static electric, or hair standing on edge? Do you want to have a clearer picture of your future? Be sure to engage with them by being receptive and open minded, you have nothing to be afraid of when you want to try and listen to your angelic overseers.

If you feel like you are more connected to God and that angelic beings might be trying to talk to you, through numbers or otherwise, then perhaps consider thanking them for their efforts to assure and guide you. You could consider meditating on a prayer, or further giving glory and thanks to God. You could develop a new skill or build something that you have been working on.
