Happy New Year!

Anna and the Apocalypse! Movie Review

A cracking zombie comedy apocalypse musical! Among the funnier zombie movies over the last 20 years. Up there with the likes of Shaun of the Dead! Great British musical, with talented cast and effective cinematography. You want to watch this in the festive season, it puts you right in the mood.

Young British schoolgirl. Anna. A group of friends. A high school party. A zombie invasion. The music starts and you get singing. Really not what I expected. I was really glad that someone had the initiative to make a zombie musical, because it really works well. British cast make this even more special. Helps to make it feel like Christmas. I would also say it is similar to the video game Dead Rising 4, set during the holidays at the Willamette mall.

What this movie seems to pull off so well is the essence or theme and feel of close friends battling for their lives. I really enjoyed the scene at the bowling alley because it has an awesome set piece, with great lighting and just the right amount of comedy and singing to make it mega fun. Rated at 15, this movie is probably okay for children. Maybe I was an outcast, but when I watched Shaun of the Dead on its release I was not 15. The ratings board will always be there to protect the children from something that they see regularly on gaming consoles because their parents bought them it, or on billboards or in the street. Movies are the last thing to affect children. Anyway, 15 is more of a marker of a target audience.

What will a zombie comedy be without poor use of weapons and a bunch of egoist teens? Probably boring. The film had a run time of 1 hour 30 mins approx.

Not much else to say other than it is not too late to watch this movie. Watch it in April.

Forgot to add the rating! 4/5

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I decided to scrap my junior barrister page and decided to just use my journey into law page to post relevant stories and news. I am instead creating this restaurants review section. I do intend to review them, and I do intend to do it, yes and confirmed.

I already mentioned in a previous post about reviewing Dunkin Donuts. I’ll be happy to leave a review for places like this, more of a fast food place than a sit in. There are many vegan places in Manchester I’d like to visit. Vegan Shack is one, I hope that is the name.

So, it will give me something to do and promote businesses at the same time.

Exotic Pets ! & Why You Should Rehome!

Good morning siblings. Exotic pets… and why you should rehome an animal or adopt rather than purchase from the shop or breeder.

I’ll start off with an amazing list of exotic pets that you might be considering! Covers snakes, lizards, geckos, tortoise, invertebrate and amphibian! Exciting, Ich spreche von Tieren, ja!

Royal Pythons! I have 4. All of them are great. They make excellent pets for anyone new to snake keeping. They are regarded as problem feeders, but that can be corrected. One of mine went around 4 months without food, then she suddenly started eating again. Although, she was breeding at the time. Worth the purchase. Large, heavy bodied getting to around 4ft on average. Children friendly. There are so many morphs now it is like an ice cream market! Not kidding, and it makes the breeders a fair penny. Always purchase from a reputable store or breeder. Never leave a snake unattended (obvious reasons).

Chameleons! An old world type of lizard! Famous for changing colours, their long tongue, their all seeing eyes! Beautiful to observe and I imagine even more interesting to keep as pets. I’d love to indulge my reptile obsession by owning one. Varieties abound. Love to climb and spend most of their time above ground, an arboreal species. Watch that tail curl up like a spring. Not what you might think of when someone says lizard.

Leopard geckos. An extremely popular gecko and excellent for beginners. Hardy creatures from the drier regions of earth. Eating live crickets and such. One of the few species with eyelids… and a permanent smile. Lovely to handle, really great for nervous owners or children. If you want a gecko that is interested in you as much as you are in them, this is up there. Of course, others include tokay geckos, day geckos, crested geckos etc. Personally, I would like to start keeping a few. Comes in a variety of colours or morphs.

Ah, the meditative calm of the tortoise. A docile species to keep. Need relatively large amounts of space and high heat, along with a vegetarian diet. Easy to observe, probably not the kind of animal you want to handle, simply because you can’t exactly bond with a shell. Some live for over a hundred years. Others grow to humungous sizes! Smaller varieties would be better for me, like the Hermann tortoise which wouldn’t be too large. These should be kept in open top or well ventilated tanks. They can get stuck on their backs so beware especially if housing multiple tortoise together.

Mexican red knee tarantula

One of the most recognisable species of tarantula. A great beginner pet for newbies. Slow moving and reluctant to bite. They are venomous like all tarantulas, but nothing more than a bee sting. Can shoot hairs out of their rumps. They like to burrow occasionally and are for the most part docile. Can also opt for a chilean rose or pink toe for a starter. Invertebrate does extend to things like praying mantis and other insects. I chose tarantulas as they scare a lot of people. Try holding a *******goliath birdeater like I did. Big difference in size. Another species I want to collect at some point.

It’s a famous red eye tree frog. Native to hot and humid enviroments. Great to keep in groups, great to handle, and has a tendency to jump right on you. I had the pleasure of holding a few when they jumped out of the habitat through glass onto me at a restaraunt in Animal Kingdom. You can’t silence the truth. I would like to have a small group to go in this imaginary reptile room I am planning.

I love birds. I love observing them. They are so intelligent. You can have more relaxing afternoons sitting watching birds than anything else. More ancient than reptiles, and more like dinosaurs then most lizards. Cockatoo will be a fiesty animal and I believe they can talk. To be honest most animals can talk nowadays, one time this cow told me to moooooove. Owls would be a stretch to keep, although, the smaller barn owls are so friendly. I used to encounter them frequently on my night travels.

There are more fish species than I can count. There are so many famous examples that are used in tv and movies, like piranhas! Or, maybe a fish called Wanda? Any type of fish, including sharks (a fish) are kept as pets. People even keep octopus. Now imagine they have enough money to buy a giant aquarium, jellyfish anyone? Fish can be cold water, exotic or whatever else. Most eat fairly straightforward diets. More specialised species will need proper maintained care. You’d be surprises to find the price of some of this, when all I have to doo is nip to the local fish ‘n chip shop for a £4 cod. The colours and variety really is endless, that’s why its’ important to keep the sea clean from waste, because that is killing the great barrier reef and destroying the home of this lot.

If you are lucky enough to see one at your local zoo, consider yourself lucky. People do actually keep these as pets, and although they start off small and manageable, they turn into huge 15-20ft creatures. Remember Roger Moore in Live and Let Die? What about Captain Hook in Peter Pan? Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? Another species that has earned a reputation through movies and no fault of its own. I would agree a risk exists in keeping them, but after watching numerous videos of handlers and owners stroking their heads and feeding them chicken from the hand, I do believe domestication is possible.

I mentioned at the start, thanks for making it this far, that I would talk about adoption and rehoming over store or breeder purchased exotic pets. Just like domestic animals such as the cat or dog, exotic pets too need homes. Usually, what happens is someone goes and buy a reticulated python and 2 years later, realises that the 10ft snake is still growing and can’t handle it. Or maybe, someone just bred a shed load or snake or lizard and now wants to offload that to a rescue sanctuary. Do you see what the issues are? It’s not all clear cut. Sometimes you might have no choice to give away a pet to the rescue place, because you could be dying and have nobody else to leave them to, or you could be on the brink of homelessness or bankruptcy or both. Those are extreme circumstances.

I don’t consider things like ‘I can’t take my pet to my new home’ or ‘we don’t really give them the attention they need anymore’, to be an adequate reason to fob animals off to overwhelmed sanctuaries. Thanks to independent keepers taking on a lot of sick and neglected animals, there is hope, they usually work with the species and find a way to move them onto a forever home.

The main issue lay with breeding and mass production. Ball pythons are bred to such an extent that there really is no excuse to continue to do it, be left with excess snakes and try to pawn them off to people who may not be in it for the long run. Just as puppy breeders are in it for the money in a lot of cases, the animals ultimately suffer at the hands of negligent owners, as such the animal is usually in a poor state, because all breeders or shops care about is money (for the most part). Once the animal had shipped, the breeder or shop usually dissolves any further care or responsibility.

Going back to the reptile problem. People get into a species, maybe a huge boa constrictor, tegu and a few snapping turtles. They own them and breed them for years. Until one day, the boa constrictor ‘suddenly changes temperament’ or ‘ the tegu just became impossible to handle.’ Again pretty poor excuses.

We can’t stop the mass reproduction of animals. But, we can stop funding it. That’s why taking in a rehabilitated animal, by adopting or rehoming is better. You don’t fund the problem, you aid in assisting the recovery of the problem by supporting the sanctuaries and allowing them to continue their great work. Also, like humans, animals suffer from health issues. Nobody goes out of their way to care for them like they would a human, which makes rehoming even more important. The animals you get are just as good as fresh produced ones. In fact, I would argue that animals for adoption for the most part are in better health than their mass produced friends in that basement.

Just some food for thought. As the saying goes, a puppy is for life, not just for Christmas. When making a decision to buy an animal, consider if you can acquire it another way which might support animals welfare services.

Upcoming Posts

Hi all. As we begin to prepare for a new beginning after we’ve all been zombified, I’d like to share a list of upcoming posts by The Wizard. I thought it may capture someone’s attention. Imagination… open your mind.

I’ll be posting a user review / customer review of the Dunkin Doughnuts in Manchester Piccadilly area. I intend to order coffee and doughnuts. I will be taking pictures… I just hope I can upload them to the computer. I really want to try the ‘Blue sky ring’ as it is my favourite colour. If I am satisfied I with the experience I’ll review some other restaraunts and stuff. Might as well make out I care. With businesses struggling from the naysayers, reviews are more important than ever. Feel free to send me £100 to cover the costs. (the last sentence was a joke, although more than welcome to come with me, friends).

I’ve been a naughty wizard… I said I would try out the Dunkin Doughnuts in Manchester Piccadilly but I haven’t yet! I really want to go in and try ‘coffee and doughnuts’ classic Americano style. Credit to the store for looking nice and colourful. To be honest, a lot of restaraunts in Piccadilly looks bright and colourful, there is one called ‘Players’ that looks straight out of Ready Player one and another called ‘Archies’ that looks straight out of pink diner land. I do not know if the store above is the Piccadilly store, but who gives a ****.

Zombie for Sale : Movie Review!

I said it before and I’ll say it again, the south Koreans do zombie comedy / horror excellently! After pounders like Train to Busan and #Alive, I can’t wait to tell you about the Odd Family in this movie! It’s funny, brothers!

By the time the scary part arrives, you’ll be recovering from the fun you’ve had and be well connected to this group of oddballs! Zombie that eats lettuce, yeah?

Anna and the Apocalypse! Movie review

I will review this first in a short time. A great zombie Christmas musical! I think I’ve seen it 2 times and starred in it once. I enjoyed it. There are musicals that overdo the singing and dancing, like Tommy (still a great film) and those that have acting between the singing and dancing, like Oliver! (another classic British movie.) Anna is a strong willed British schoolgirl and yeah zombies come. But it does not overdo the musical aspect, works it in with the zombie killing – favourite scene involves a bowling alley with beautiful lights and funny action! Overall the review will be positive but it will also look deeper at the British musical movie scene, which has lacked anything remotely good since this 2018 release ( a great year for me, never forget it).

I cried during this movie, because it was beautiful in so many ways.

I really want to do more restaraunt reviews. I want to start doing them I should say. I also want to review more shops in general. You might remember my post from around August I believe where I described my day out to the Trafford Centre Manchester. A long and detailed post I thought, giving insight into products. It made me feel rather satisfied that day. I will get round to reviewing ‘Archies’ and ‘Players’ at some point in January. It will also be a good chance to get out to eat in a restaraunt, which I miss. Not been many chances to do that over the last few years. I’ll try and write a review for ‘Rec’ if I haven’t already… yeah boy, it’s another z movie review. A franchise. I smell copper. Milkman?

So, if eating rice and peas is your idea of getting high on a Saturday night, do it, baby. Do it good. Then, roll over the next morning into the bin beside your bed whilst having clam induced seizures because you opted for the all you can eat rather than the weekend special. Clam chowder.

When You Discover the Truth

Part 1: The Great Dismay

There is only one life

and that one life

we meet a lot of people

we do a lot of things

but who really cares for you?

I once believed it true

And now there is nothing

I am never in good health

When I’m up I’ll be down

Soon enough you’ll see me drown

Where do we all go

What exactly is behind the universal show

Who will we forever know

No more

There is one life

And I don’t want hate

Or feelings of guilt

I want peace and acceptance

Accept one another

Do not judge

Be forever

United in acceptance

Move the cursor

Prepare to live

This one life

Where it is better to give

Part 2: I can’t forget my dreams

You will never read this

Nobody will ever see this

Is the end

I have not given enough

And I await nothing more

You will never see this

I will never see you

Maybe I’m just down all the time

Or out of time

To save the people

Who have now gone

When I could have

With courage

Hanged upon the changes

That would have changed the moment

Part 3: Eternal goodbye

Angels took me to heaven

All I saw was …

But returned

They forever protect me

From wrongs

And defend the innocent

My painting is called “Garden”

I used acrylic. This is my main medium at the moment since I have no long started. I’m not very good but I think I did a decent job on the trees.

I received a new tube of titanium white today and some small 4x 20cm x 20cm canvas along with masking tape. I also like to paint skies in green. This sky does not have any clouds for a reason. The sky blends directly with something of a path. Basically I don’t care if it doesn’t make sense.

5 Days Left

2018 was the best year so far for me. Every year since has been forgettable. I saw Genesis in September which was the highlight of the last 3 years.

Reflecting on 2021 it seems that the evil is growing stronger and ruining both the earth and the good people. Hopefully in the new year we can burn those evil people in a small room.

It’s been one rule for them and one rule for us. One rule for the bad and another for the good. Don’t do the right thing and make sure to obey stupid rules on masks, but then walk down a street with knives and drugs and don’t worry, you will get away with that. Mask wearing is a bigger priority than the pedophile rings in parliament.

Also, if you are a celebrity like Katie Price, you can drink drive as much as you want, crash as much as you want and avoid jail for a repeat offence. After the crash she was examined and the doctor asked how many fingers he was holding up. She said, “fuck me I’m paralysed from the waist down.”

Don’t forget the greatest leader of the free world, forget me not Biden. I think Biden has had more memory lapses and holes in consciousness than Oscar Pistorius shot through his bathroom door.

Oh, and the space race and Elon and his Musketeers. Richard Branson came back from the big black space with a bigger smile than he had when he and Jeffrey Epstein was at Harvey Weinstein’s party on Necker island. Elon just sat that talking casually about implanting chips into our brains whilst simultaneously smoking public subsidized cannabis.

When you enter the new year, continue to slave away, pay money to people for nothing, pay money to energy companies for invisible electric and invisible gas. Agree to slave contracts from your employer. Tell your children that the education system – a joke – is good for them to have a good education and get a good job (NOT). Make sure you continue to produce slave babies for the evil that runs the world. Continue to pay your rent or mortgage which you credited yourself with. Continue to buy poor quality food from the supermarkets and stores instead of growing your own. Wear branded clothing produced in sweatshops. Smoke, drink, take drugs, steal, lie, hurt people, all the usual stuff. Be sure to threaten, intimidate and harass anyone who does not accept the government or system as a loving caring entity, instead of the evil soul sucking money hole that it is. Be sure to push the cult agenda on your families by indoctrinating them through tv and film, games, shopping, advertisements and certain phrases, please.

What is going to happen in the new year?

Be the change you want to see in the world.

The Light Shines on Us All

The light shines on us all.

I wanted to share this song for Christmas. The video will not show on my site, but you can follow the link to YouTube for the video from the movie * Anna and the Apocalypse. This is a great bit of fun for Christmas. Lots of laughs. I don’t think I reviewed this movie so I will promise you I will review in the next couple of days.

You can try and access the below scene on YouTube, so you can see what they are singing too.
