I bought a set of acrylic paints and I have already done 2 ‘landscape’ paintings. I am a beginner, although I have done some painting before, way way back in school as part of ‘art’ class.
I want to share them., partly for feedback and partly to see how bad they really are. I did enjoy myself though, so I suppose that is a good thing.
It seems to involve a lot of hand eye coordination and imagination. Being able to visualise something and then put brush to canvas is something I have never been good at. I enjoy going with the flow and trying to avoid using objects.
Feedback appreciated. I understand learning anything takes time. This was mostly to see what the creative part of my brain was capable of off the bat. Far from good, far from disastrous. The clouds leave something to be desired, I tried to bring them to the ‘foreground.’

Great job! I too did a landscape scene with mountains as my first attempts. A Bob Ross inspired one. It was so much fun. And that’s the most important thing 🙂

Yes Bob sure gave me inspiration for the mountains. A little difficult with acrylics because they aren’t as wet! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

It was a pleasure. And I hope you continue exploring painting 🙂 I started out with oils, so I had a bit more time to work the medium. I’ve done some acrylic paintings, but it’s a new medium for me 🙂

Not bad. I feel like you did a pretty good job at making the elements feel organic

It seems like you tried too hard. Sometimes when you focus on on what it’s supposed to look like you tend to make mistakes. Magic happens when you let go. Net time just paint. My blooms aren’t realistic but expressive. Since you are begginning just paint. learn as you go. Learning by heart is a must read for every artist.
